The Kendrick x Nike features a blend of nylon and suede, highlighted by a brick red upper and black accents, including the swoosh and heel tab. “K” and “L” are stamped on the heel of the left and right shoe, respectively, while “TDE” lace dubraes round out the look.
It’s important to note that the red and black “DAMN.” Nike Cortez that recently surfaced has been confirmed as a sample pair, but it will at least give fans a taste of what to expect from Kendrick and Nike moving forward.
Prior to signing with Nike, Kendrick released several sneaker collabs with Reebok over the years, including the Classic Leather and Club C, as well as the Reebok Ventilator.
Kendrick switched up and partnered with Nike back in August. He made the announcement via twitter, tweeting, “Cortez. Since day one. #teamnike#TDE,” so it shouldn’t come as a shock that his first Nike sneaker collab will utilize the beloved Cortez silhouette.
According to reports, the Kendrick x Nike Cortez “DAMN.” is just one of several pieces from his upcoming collection inspired by the album. A release date has not been announced for Kendrick’s upcoming Nike Collection.
